• An Alaskan based commercial fishing business shipping Alaskan ground fish to domestic US markets and to foreign markets in both Europe and Asia
• Office rental space on Tillson Avenue in Rockland, Maine a few blocks from Rockland's Main Street
• Ice manufacturing and distribution in Maine of 5lb and 20lb bags of crushed ice and 10lb block ice, and dispensing of large volumes of crushed ice into trucks or storage containers

O'Hara Corporation's Roots

O'Hara Corporation has been in business in Rockland, Maine for well over fifty years. The company has its roots in Boston where it started in the fishing industry. Buying and selling fish, and owning and operating fishing boats was the primary focus of the company for many years. During the first half of the twentieth century the business spread from Boston to the Maine towns of Portland, Eastport, and Rockland. After riding the crests and troughs of the fish business for a hundred years, the company's headquarters was established in Rockland.

The ever changing face of the fish business has forced most of the O'Hara fishing fleet to the West Coast where it participates in the Alaska offshore groundfish fishery. The company still maintains its presence in the East Coast fishery with several boats in the scallop and herring business.
